This guide shows all the safe codes in Dying Light 2, which released on 4th February 2022. The guide is under progress. We will keep adding more Safes as we find them. If we missed any Safe, then please tell us in the comments.

1) Trinity: Bazaar Church Tower Safe Code

The safe is at the top of Bazaar Church. Click here to see how to reach the church location. At the top, you will reach a room full of boxes and containers with blue lids. This is where you’ll find the safe and the code. The safe is in the north corner, and the safe code is in an envelope behind the poster in the east corner, behind the poster.

The safe code for the Bazaar is “5 x 100 + 15 =”, which adds up to 510, making the code 5 – 1 – 0. To obtain Carl’s Journal #4, enter the code and open the safe.

2) Houndfield: Nightrunner’s Hideout Safe Code Puzzle

Nightrunner’s Hideout is in Houndfield in the location as shown in the picture below.

Enter the hideout and you will find a room containing a safe. In the corner of this room, you will find a cupboard as shown in the picture below. Move the cupboard to reveal a secret room.

Inside the secret room, you will find a broken generator. Repair the generator to unlock the Nightrunner’s Hideout Safe Zone. In the secret room, you will find a chest as shown below. Open the chest to get the safe code (See the second picture below)

Unlock the safe using the code 1-0-1. Inside the safe, you will find an Inhibitor.

3) Houndfield: Dr. Katsumi Safe Code Puzzle (Saint Joseph Hospital)

You will get this safe during the sidequest “The First Biomarker”. Click here to see how to reach the safe location. At the start of the quest, you will get Dr. Katsumi’s Note containing a riddle that you need to solve to get the safe code. The note is shown in the picture below.

The riddles are:

#1: What becomes smaller when you turn it upside down?
Solution: 9

#2: The second… is an odd number. Take away a letter and it becomes… even. What is it?
Solution: 7

#3: A little girl goes to the store and buys one dozen eggs. As she is going home, all but three eggs break. How many eggs are left unbroken?
Solution: 3

So, the safe code you need to complete The First Biomarker quest is9-7-3.

4) Garrison: Electrical Station Safe Code (Approximate number of pi)

This safe is behind a gate marked ‘C’ in the Garrison Electrical Station, where you will go during the “Broadcast” main quest. Click here to see how to solve the electrical cable puzzles to reach the safe.

5) Muddy Grounds: Wharf Water Tower Safe Code

You will get the safe code during the “Treasure Hunt” side quest. During the quest, you will read a book, from which you will learn about Bacon’s Cipher. In this cipher, a letter is replaced by a series of alphabets. After reading the book, read the note kept next to it. In the note, you will find an Encrypted Message as shown in the picture below. Use the Cipher to decode the message.

The decrypted message tells the location of the safe and the safe code. The treasure is in the basem*nt of the Wharf Water Tower at the location marked in the picture below.

Go to the basem*nt through the entrance shown in the pictures below.

Go down and jump down to the lowest level as shown in the picture below. Then jump down further into the water.

The safe is underwater at the bottom of the basem*nt as shown below.

Enter the safe code 3-21-67. This will open the safe. Then collect the explosives inside to complete the quest.

6) Garrison: VNC Tower Safe Code (If U 555, Then I’m)

VNC Tower is the Garission Territory at the location shown in the picture below. To get to this safe, first you will need to complete the “Broadcast” main quest.

Once you’ve completed the “Broadcast” main quest, enter the VNC Tower and go to the elevator lobby as shown in the picture below. Take the elevator to reach the VNC tower roof.

Jump down from the roof at the location shown in the picture below. The safe is in a room one level below the roof as shown in the second picture below. Jump down the roof and grapple your way inside the room containing the safe.

You will find the clue to get the safe code, kept on a table in the corner of the room. The note says, “If U 555, Then I’m …”. The picture below shows the clue that you need to solve to get the safe code.

The clue is referring to Slipknot’s The Heretic Anthem. The lyrics of the song contain a line “If you’re 555, then I’m 666”. So, the safe code is 6-6-6. The safe contains a rubber duckie.

7) Horseshoe: Water Tower Safe Code

Horseshoe Water Tower safe is at the location marked in the picture below. You will be able to get it during the “Moonshine” side quest. .

Use the lift near the water tower building to reach the roof as shown below.

Jump down from the roof on the platform below. Then jump further down to reach the green door as shown in the pictures below. Lockpick the door and go inside. Inside the room, you will find the safe.

You will get the clue for the safe code from Joe at the start of the quest as shown below.
Safe Code Clue: The year America was discovered (1492)

Enter the code (14-9-2) to open the safe. Inside the safe, you will find Cillian’s Moonshine, which is a quest item for the “Moonshine” quest.

8) Downtown Thugs Bandit Camp Safe Code

First, I will show how to reach the safe from the Downtown Thugs Bandit camp Flag Tower. The location of the flag tower is shown below.

After claiming the Flag Tower, you need to go to the opening in the wall as shown in the picture below. Climb on the big fan. Then use the zipline to go to the other side. After that follow the path as shown in the second picture below to reach the opening in the wall.

After entering the building, take the stairs to the upper level. On the upper level, you will find an elevator shaft. Enter the elevator shaft and climb further up as shown in the pictures below.

After climbing through the elevator shaft, you will come out on a roof. Climb up the wall as shown in the picture below to reach the safe.

To get the safe code, follow the path explained below.

First, climb on the yellow pipe behind the safe hanging from the ceiling as shown below.

Then jump to another hanging pipe. And from there jump to the opening as shown below.

Then use the rod to jump to the platform on the other side as shown below. Continue ahead on the platform.

Use the rod to jump to another platform on the other side as shown below. Continue ahead on the platform.

Then jump down on the roof as shown below.

On the roof, you will find a room with a note kept on a table as shown below. The note contains the safe code (3-1-3)

Now, jump through the hole on the wall to reach the safe. Enter the Safe Code (3-1-3) to unlock the safe. You will find an Inhibitor inside the safe.

9) Downtown: Undying Affection Side Quest Safe Code

You will reach this safe during the “Undying Affection” side quest. Click here to see how to reach the safe location.

To open the safe, choose the following options:

10) Muddy Grounds Secret Safe Code (Ultimate Question of Life)

There is a secret safe inside a GRE Container at the northwest portion of Muddy Grounds at the location shown in the pictures below. Enter the room, and you will see the safe on top of a cabinet on the right side of the room.

There is a note on a shelf in the GRE Container as shown in the picture below. The note contains a riddle, by solving which you will get the safe code.
Riddle: The Answer to the Ultimate Question of Life, The Universe And Everything [In Binary]

This riddle is the Easter Egg to The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy”. As per the book, the “Answer to the Ultimate Question of Life, the Universe, and Everything,” calculated by an enormous supercomputer is the Number 42. Number 42 in Binary form is 101010. So, the safe code is 10-10-10. Enter the code to open the safe. Inside the safe, you will find a mine and a duckie.

11) Church of Saint Thomas Safe Code

The safe is in the top room of the Church of Saint Thomas the Apc in Saint Paul Island as shown in the pictures below. Parkour your way to the top and enter through the window as shown in the third picture below. Inside the room, you will find the safe.

Outside the window of the room containing the safe, you will see a statue as shown in the picture below.

Jump to the top of the statue and then jump to the roof above as shown in the picture below. On the roof, you will find a box coating the safe code as shown in the second picture below. The safe code is 444.

Now come back to the safe and enter the safe code 4-4-4 to open the safe. Inside the safe, you will find an Inhibitor.

12) New Dawn Park Safe Code (Little Boy)

The safe is inside a building near the railway yard in New Dawn Park at the location shown in the picture below. Go inside the building, and you will find the safe on a shelf near the door.

The safe code is inside a cupboard in the same room as the safe as shown in the picture below. Open the cupboard and collect the item inside, which consists of the safe code.

The safe code puzzle is an easter egg referring to the Atomic Bomb (Little Boy) that the USA dropped on Hiroshima in World War 2. The clue is shown in the picture below.

Enter the safe code 10-28-64. Then open the safe to get explosives and duckie inside.

13) Houndfield: Book Club X Safe

You will get to this safe code during the “Book Club X” side quest in Houndfield inside the building shown in the picture below. During the quest, a few bandits will come inside the building. Defeat them and they will drop the safe code (21-12-55).

14) Out of Your League Safe Code Puzzle

The safe is inside a building in Houndfield at the location marked in the picture below. You will go there during the “Out of Your League” side quest.

During the “Out of Your League” quest, you will reach a room with a safe kept on a shelf. Check the video below to see how to reach the safe location.

During the quest, you will have to find a necklace. You will find the necklace on a corpse, in the room next to the safe. Next to the corpse, you will find a photo as shown in the pictures below. This photo will act as a clue for the safe code.

The picture is of the baby’s 2nd birthday celebration. The date the picture was taken on is marked as 11/11/21. So, the baby’s birth date is 11/11/19, which is also the safe code. Enter the Safe Code 11-11-19. Then open the safe and take 700 coins kept inside.

15) Quarry End House Safe Code

The safe is inside a building in the southern portion of Quarry End at the location marked in the pictures below.

As you enter the building through the window, you will find a bed in front of you, with a chest resting next to it. Open the chest and you will find a note inside as shown in the picture below. The note contains a little mathematical equation. Solve the equation to get the safe code.

The date of the announcement of the US Declaration of Independence is July 4, 1776 (7/4/1776). So, the safe code is 741776. Enter the safe code 74-17-76 to open the safe and get the Military Medikit inside.

17) Newfound Lost Lands Safe Code (Absolute Zero Puzzle)

The safe is inside a restaurant in Newfound Lost Lands, at the location marked in the pictures below.

Enter the restaurant and go to the kitchen behind the counter. In this room, you will find the safe sitting near a sink as shown in the picture below.

Clue: Absolute Zero (F)

Absolute zero is the temperature at which a thermodynamic system has the lowest energy. The value of absolute zero is −459.67 °F on the Fahrenheit temperature scale. So, the safe code is 459. Enter the safe code 4-5-9 to open the safe and get the explosives inside.

18) Saint Paul Island: GRE Container Safe (End of World War 2 Puzzle)

The safe is inside a GRE container at the southern tip of Saint Paul Island as shown in the pictures below.

After entering the GRE Container, immediately look left and you will find a note on the shelf as shown in the picture below. Take the note to get the clue that will help you get the safe code.
Clue: End of World War 2 (EU)

The clue refers to the date when America began dropping Atomic Bombs on Japan: August 5, 1945 (8/5/1945). So, the safe code is 851945. Enter the safe code 85-19-45 to open the safe and get the Duckie inside.

19) Dam Nightrunner Hideout Safe (Baptism of Poland Puzzle)

The safe is inside a steel shed in the Dam Nightrunner hideout as shown in the pictures below.

Climb to the top of the steel structure above the shed as shown in the picture above. At the topmost level, you will find a box containing a note. Take the note to get the clue that will help you get the safe code.
Clue: Baptism of Poland

“The Baptism of Poland” refers to the ceremony when the first ruler of the Polish state, Mieszko I, and much of his court converted to the Christian religion. The date of Mieszko’s baptism was14 April 966. So, the safe code is 966. Enter the safe code 9-6-6 to open the safe and get the Duckie inside.
