  • Fixed issue where the game was only supporting DX12 Feature Level 12_0 - it now supports DX12 Feature Level 11_0 and 11_1 as well
  • Lowered minimum GPU memory restrictions to widen the range of specifications able to run the game - Note: The minimum required PC specifications per se have not changed; this means that when attempting to play on lower specification systems the game might not run as intended.
  • Updated how the game selects which GPU to use, making the game more robust in selecting the appropriate card
  • More information added to GPU error messages on startup; it now lists which GPU it is trying to run the game on

Update 1 saw the addition of flatten terrain maps for Sandbox mode, DFW building set in Sandbox, Campaign maps inside Sandbox, JP Era Aviary and Lagoon set, randomization options for skins and patterns inside of the Genome editing screen and many quality of life updates along side it.

  • Added level select screen in Campaign mode - once completed, you can now go back and re-play any of the campaign levels
Genome Editing[]
  • Updated the skin and pattern colour selection screen from a preview image to colour swatches; it's now easier to select the skin and pattern colour combinations you wish to use
  • Added a random swatch for both pattern and skin colour in Genome Editing. You can now hatch a batch of dinosaurs, each with a random skin and/or pattern colour
  • Added animal x-ray images to genome editing screen
Landscaping[]
  • Added 'auto paint' option to landscaping tools (off by default); with this option on, terrain that is raised or lowered will now automatically update it's texture to match (example, raising the terrain will create a rock texture at the top, which blends down into dirt/grass at the bottom)
  • Added perch points for flying reptiles on all placeable rocks
  • Improved visual feedback for terrain constraints

  • Escalated diseases no longer need to be scanned again, and are monitored automatically

  • Fixed wrong icon appearing above ill animals that you do have the cure for
  • Ensure scars are applied to animals in all appropriate situations, even non lethal ones
  • Balance pass on injuries received when a dinosaur attacks a fence

  • Ensured that storms are actually frequent, if the player selects the 'Frequent Storms' sandbox setting
  • Fixed various contracts that could be given out in Challenge that can't be completed due to restrictions on the level
  • Removed 'Increase Genome' contract from sandbox mode, as players can't increase a genome in that mode
  • Various contracts that can't be completed in Chaos Theory mode won't be offered to the player
  • Fixed rounding issue in the first Campaign level that could cause the 'ensure Stegosaurus are at 90% comfort' not to be completed, when the Stegosaurus comfort is at 90%

  • Fixed edge case where a player can create a save game just after a failure state, meaning the player can not continue

Free Update 2[]

Update 2 came along side the Camp Cretaceous Dinosaur Pack, and was released on March 8th, 2022. This update added a lot of requested features that the community heavly requested including everything unlocked in Sandbox, a first person mode, being able to turn off scientist in Sandbox, and the return of placeable tress from the first game. Update 2 also added over 40 new decorations including the Spinosaurus Skeleton. Udpate 2 also brought a lot of quality life changes to the game as well. Few examples being, new bulidng upgrades, new contracts in Challenge Mode, and a lot of Sandbox mode options.

Update 4 was released along side the Late Cretaceous Pack which was released on September 15th, 2022. Update 4 is a another content heavy update. Update 4 added Lagoon decorations, JP banners, the return of the JP toliet decoration from the first game, controlable Lagoon and Aviary drones, Fly Reptiles being able to attack helicopters, Capture Mode postcard and stamp overlays, the in game camera being able to go into the Lagoon, and a lot of quality of life updates.

Free Update 7[]

Update 7 was released alongside the Prehistoric Marine Species Pack, and it added a host of additions and changes. The notable changes were the introduction of the Marine Viewing Gallery, social animations for all Lagoon species expect Mosasaurus and Tylosaurus, the ability to favorite skins and patterns in the Species Viewer, also being able to favorite a dinosaur in game and be notified if it does a "special behavior," and being to add cosmetic damage to buildings in Sandbox Mode. This update also fixed some bugs and added some quality of life updates.

Airlift releases[]

  • Players can now queue multiple asset releases for Airlift when one is already occurring.

Gene Library[]

  • A search bar has been added on the Genome Library and the Species Viewer to facilitate the search of species.

Show unresearched feeders in the build menu[]

  • The feeder menu will now show unresearched items

Path replacement brush[]

  • Added a new replacement mode for the path creation tool which will overwrite the paths selected by the brush
  • Players can change the radius of the brush

Bug Fixes[]

  • Dinosaurs are now less likely to leave and forget their territory without a clear threat
  • Park Teams can now pass through Biosyn Sanctuary forests when controlled by the AI
  • All alternative vehicle skins available to the player are now present in Custom Challenge mode
  • Adjusted Custom Challenge sabotage risk difficulty tooltip to clarify its functionality
  • Players can now enable/disable the Comfort characteristic and Fussy trait appropriately in Custom Challenge and Sandbox modes
  • Reduced guest count requirements for Large Hotels so Malta buildings-only playthroughs are more feasible
  • Troodon, Struthiomimus, and other small animals no longer shake the ground when the camera is focused on them
  • Fixed an issue where Transport helicopters would not deliver flying reptiles between Aviaries
  • Add "Decoration Foliage" setting to Custom Challenge mode, to enable/disable decorative foliage from all biomes
  • Lagoon sections can no longer be deleted while a marine reptile is being transported to that lagoon
  • Dinosaurs are now quicker to eat from hunted prey in certain situations
  • Tuna will no longer obstruct the placement of Decorations and Buildings on edge of Lagoons
  • Research contracts should no longer be offered in Sandbox when research is disabled
  • Fixed rare instances where the players was not being able to sell the Carnotaurus in the Malta campaign
  • The Lagoon Platform is now available in the Malta Campaign
  • Fixed storms not appearing on Biosyn Sanctuary Sandbox levels
  • Single placement tree decorations now use the autumn variants in the autumn temperate square map
  • Dinosaurs will now prioritise eating and drinking over fleeing when these needs are critically low
  • Dinosaur kills by poison now contribute to kill statistics

  • You can now select the "Modify Genome" button whilst in Automated Hatcheries allowing gene editing of automated species
  • Species created by Automated Hatcheries can now generate traits
  • Stopped VO playing during the Washington State Pre-built Sandbox cinematics
  • Fixed the Open Park button being disabled in the Isla Sorna prebuilt layout
  • Fixed bug where guests would stand still when a vehicle was blocked/parked
  • Reduced likelihood of rangers becoming blocked when navigating between points
  • Fixed bug where dinosaurs would occasionally not perform drinking behaviours correctly
  • Fixed typo in American English for Time of Day settings
  • Fixed bug where changing tabs in the Species Viewer would occasionally not restore control to the player

Cretaceous Predator Pack[]

  • Gigantoraptor will now hunt guests, small carnivores and small herbivores
  • Increased the lifespan of the Concavenator

Dominion Biosyn Expansion[]

  • "San Marine Bay" has been corrected to "San Marie Bay".
